Where We’ve Been

The Farm Credit Bank of Wichita (now referred to as U.S. AgBank, FCB) and the Associations of the Ninth Farm Credit District formed AgVantis, Inc (AgVantis) on January 1, 2002 to provide integrated, real-time solutions to U.S. AgBank, a $27 billion Farm Credit Bank located in Wichita, Kansas, and 19 associations located in California, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

U.S. AgBank, FCB (U.S. AgBank) is the trade name for the jointly managed Farm Credit Bank of Wichita and the Western Farm Credit Bank, which merged October 1, 2003. In addition, AgVantis provides selected services on a fee basis to several other Farm Credit Associations.

AgVantis is comprised of the former employees of the Information Services Department of Farm Credit Bank of Wichita (FCBW). AgVantis acquired its technology assets from the FCBW. With these purchases, AgVantis immediately acquired state-of-the-art technology targeted towards Farm Credit Banks and Associations, and backs these services with knowledgeable, experienced Farm Credit staff.

Since its inception, AgVantis has been owned and controlled by the members of Banks and Associations that utilize AgVantis’ services. The customers select the board of directors that govern AgVantis. Every year, AgVantis returns 100% of its operating profits to its owners-customers in the form of an annual rebate.
